Dermal Fillers

Juvéderm®
Juvéderm® is a trusted name in dermal fillers and is very popular with our patients. Juvéderm® fillers are FDA-approved and formulated with hyaluronic acid – a substance found in the skin. The cosmetic result is beautifully smooth and natural-looking results.
Each filler in the Juvéderm® line is meticulously formulated to target a specific area of the face. Here are two examples:
- Juvéderm® Volux® XC is the only FDA-approved HA filler for toning and sculpting the jawline.
- Juvéderm® Ultra® XC targets thin lips needing more volume.
Including different fillers in a single treatment achieves a balanced, natural result--but because each formula addresses different needs, some fillers will last longer than others.
For those looking for long-lasting effects, Juvéderm® Vollure® and Voluma® have been shown to maintain results for up to 18 to 24 months.
Regular treatments help sustain the fresh, rejuvenated appearance you will love.

Procedure:
It is required to avoid NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) before your appointment; this includes over-the-counter medications like Advil, Aleve, and Motrin. Limiting alcohol consumption before your dermal filler appointment can help reduce bruising and swelling.
Numbing agents are applied to maintain your comfort throughout the session, and each Juvéderm® filler contains lidocaine to help with discomfort during and after the treatment.
Dr. Godwin will expertly inject the appropriate Juvéderm into your target areas. Visible results will be instantaneous.
Recovery:
After injection, you may experience redness, swelling, and bruising. This can sometimes last 1-2 weeks; we advise that you plan your injection appointment with this in mind. Your daily activities can be resumed immediately after the treatment. Most patients find the treatment painless and highly effective.
